Brique Rouge - Techno Parade 2006: September 16th in Paris
The motto for 2006’s edition of the Techno Parade will be: "Pump up the volume against hunger!". Technopol, which organizes the parade is working with "Action Contre la Faim" to create a moment of gathering and solidarity. Fighting against hunger implies to first recall an unbearable figure: every 4 seconds, a human being dies of starvation. This year’s edition also aims to inform the masses about the war Action Contre la Faim is leading.
Opening the parade, Martin Solveig will spin on Action Contre la Faim’s float, followed by Dialect recording’s DJs Gwen Maze, Simon Says and Cyril K then Hypnotic Music & Brique Rouge's masterminds Fafa Monteco and David Duriez, : « Our music reaches
young people who haven’t figured out the importance of the starvation issue, this is an essential step because these people will build tomorrow’s world... A first dance step for a better world.»
In order to collect funds, 30 000 badges NO FAMINE will be sold during the Techno Parade for the benefit of Action Contre la Faim. Around 30 musical floats are expected, among which the « Francofffonies » float promoting Frenchspeaking countries’ cultures, co-produced by label et promoter Calme Records. The Opaz / Katapult – leading French minimal electro label – float will also be part of the procession. Other members of the French techno scene will participate, i.e. Flyman or Sabotage Crew. Over 300 000 dancing participants are expected. The Techno Parade takes place Saturday, September, 16th, at 12 a.m. at Bastille.
