 | CLAUDE MONNET presents "FUNDAMENTALS" project
David Duriez just finished his track to be part of the Fundamentals project by Claude Monnet. The project will feature a wide range of french artists revisiting old school house music in a modern way. David Duriez jumped on the wagon with a wild pitch influenced techy-house track called "Wilderness" - Duriez has always been referred to wild-pitch as a major influence on his music.
This project should be the opportunity to get a more precise idea of how house music’s been perceived inFrance. All the artists who appear on this project were asked to create a piece of music in which they would express their vision of early house music, thanks to their primal influences.
What’s very exciting about this concept is the wide range of people involved, quite illustrative of the impact on house music. From the emblematic Laurent Garnier to Dimitri from Paris, Julien Jabre, Dj Gregory, Alan Braxe, Stéphane Mandrax (Shakedown), Dj Fudge, Frank Roger, David Duriez, and many more...
FUNDAMENTALS will give you a unique opportunity to know what those folks are really at. Let there be house !

Ok let's try to write this news without the word "busy" in it. It's going to be hard because there's a lot of things going on
First let's say that mr.Duriez has relaunched the remix factory with not less than 5 remixes done lately for the like of Dj Hell on Kickin' records, Alex Flatner on Circle Music, but also Nic Fanciulli, Alex Parsons and Kink for RZ Muzik.
He also got his latest release co-produced with Mazi, "Chicago, a Wake Up Call" making waves all around the planet and getting licensing requests as well as amazing props by the djs and tastemakers.
Having residencies in Paris at Red Light and London at Turnmills (his Madrid's residency ended when the promoters lost the club 3 months ago), David Duriez is also extensively touring the world as a dj with events scheduled in London, Chicago, Toronto, Hong Kong, Shangai, Dubai, Rome, etc.. in the next coming weeks. I did not use the word "busy" yet ? Ok so let's continue... David Duriez is also still running like a mob boss his label Brique Rouge with upcoming releases & remixes by Mike Monday, Josh Wink, Tim Paris, Zoo Brazil, Tommy Four Seven, Dj Fex, Mark O'Sullivan, Tom Pooks, Random Factor and many many more while in the meantime he's participating in the launch of a french digital download platform dedicated to clubbing called www.clubload.fr; he has always be in the forefront of the digital download revolution.
Now in the studio with Mazi in Chicago, David Duriez is due to produce a follow up to "Chicago, a Wake Up Call" and probably some other tracks that you'll soon got in your ears. |
