Dj Wild (France)
Not that easy to follow DJ Wild’s way all around the planet! Behind the decks for nearly 9 years, his career cannot be described in a few lines any more… Wild plays from one continent to another, tireless traveler, carrying his records to share good music where he is hosted. At 29, this electro music French “touche-à-tout”, despite his discretion which is often mistaken as shyness, has succeeded in handling his success.
In 1996, he begins as a pro in a Barcelonan French-owned bar; at 21, he immediately attracts attention with his eclectic and electric mixes, sailing around house, funky and disco music. During his residence in the Catalan capital, he sharpens his “personal touch” at the Flat Cat, before coming back to Paris to take the Fumoir’s decks, at the legendary Palace. While playing at many major events, he releases his first production (“Magic Orgasm”, Twisted). He then becomes a regular of the French club and electro scene – the Queen, Scream… – including radio shows that he hosted on “Radio FG”. In the meantime, he devotes a growing time in production and releases 6 maxi singles on Combustible and Adult Only, 1 on Detour rec. (San Francisco), and 1 on Visitor : BIRTH OF CATWASH (DJ WILD & CHRIS.CARRIER).
Soon, the foreign dancefloors stroboscopes wink at him, and Wild, irresistibly, turns into an electro scene globe-trotter: playing from Sao Paulo (he has a “love affair” with Brazil), to London, NYC (Twilo, Life), Köln (das Boot), Berlin (Osgut), Hong-Kong, Shanghai, Beijing, Wild performs in the top clubs on the international scene. To listen to Wild’s music, the Fuse in Brussels is one of his regular venues: he mixes every month for the special events “La Démence “, while dreaming to his next trips…
For the moment, Wild is busier than ever since he launched his label in March 2005 Catwash records(www.catwashrecords.com) with his friend and partner Chris Carrier, together with his production company, U-mid. He has just signed 2 singles with Catwash on Get Physical music (Berlin), already major hits on the dancefloors “When the Wild Cat shows his claws, the mice dance, don’t they?”
