About paulhazendonk
Born in 1982 in Rotterdam, Paul Hazendonk is considered as one of the new faces and talents in both national and international techno and tech-house scene of today. This young DJ is known for his abilities in working the turntables and does not hesitate to deal with the giants of the business himself. His techno spirit, club and festival experience sets him aside from other DJ's. Paul Hazendonk is bringing together different influences. As a result to this his style of music can be therefore best described as a combination between funky and minimal (tech)house and pumping techno that can not be categorized. Whether deep or hard, its always with his own recognizable drive which is characteristic for his sets. During his career he has played in clubs and festivals like Nighttown, Las Palmas, Asta, Now&Wow, De Rechter, Awakenings, FFWD and Ultrashock over the years. Abroad he performed and played in countries like France, Estonia, Sweden, Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia. His credibility has already led him to work alongside Luke Slater, Samuel L Session, Billy Nasty, Chris Liebing, Surgeon, Mistress Barbara, Valentino Kanzyani, Rush, Marco Carola and Joel Mull. Paul Hazendonk is not only concentrated and focused on his DJing career but in other related extensions as well. Despite of his busy schedule he compiled and mixed MAW presents Technique (2002) and TASTE (2004). This last compilation is a two cd-compilation together with DJ Misjah. Further more he started his own label Technique in the spring of 2003 and saw the birth of a second label 'Work Hard Play Hard' early 2004. Where the sound for Technique is underground techno, the sound for Work Hard Play Hard is more crossover, meant for a bigger audience. The year 2005 saw the birth of yet again three new labels: Adult Records (mainstream techno by high profile artists), Manual Music (minimal/tech-house) and Fly Life (a tehno-label presenting fresh talents). With releases and remixes from artists such as Misjah, Mhonolink, Valentino Kanzyani, Bando, Ignition Technician, Patrik Skoog, Vince Watson, Marko Nastic, Chris Cowie, Petter, Paul Mac and Orlando Voorn it's not more then logical that both labels have already build up a solid fan-base. Besides running five recordlabels hes also currently hosting a radioshow at Smart FM together with Francesco Pico. With already two mix compilations in the pocket and a lot of new releases and remixes coming up in the 2006, Paul Hazendonk will be the one to watch! At this point hes planning his future and his followers can look forward to more Paul Hazendonk productions and remixes on vinyl + a brand new mix CD to be released in the spring of 2006. Establishing himself more and more as a highly reputed DJ and producer. So keep your eyes and ears wide open!
