Dj F.E.X. (France)
Originaly from Tours, son of musician, F.E.X is surounded, since the beginning, by an eclectic musical environment. His first meeting with electronic music comes from mix tapes sent by his uncle living in Detroit. He starts Djing in 1994 and at the same time he opens a record shop and hosts a weekly show, to play new releases from House to Techno, on a local radio station.
Dj F.E.X settles down in Paris in 1998 and quickly becomes the resident Dj of some of the biggest parisian parties organised by Wake up! : “House of Legend”, “Diskotek”, “Push “.... “Club Bpm" was and still is Dj F.E.X main residency along with Didier Sinclair (Redlight Club), it gives him the oportunity to invites Djs such as Slam, Terry Francis, Ian Pooley, John Acquaviva, Doc Martin,
Pete Tong, Victor Calderone, Deep Dish, to name a few… In 2001, he joins the biggest parisian gay night : SCREAM with David Guetta and Freddy.
It's, as well, as a producer that F.E.X proved his talent with about 20 Eps & Singles released on several different french and international labels (Serial Records, Kailash, Nekko, Visitor, Big Chief, Brique Rouge, Hypnotik, Dessous...)
The single “INDIE WALK”, was « the French Techno Parade's hymn » in 2002, gives him the chance to get to Sao Paolo (Brazil) to represent the French sound in front of 150 000 people during the “Parada Da Paz”. Since then, he plays all over the country and he's, as well, touring the globe : Anvers; Bangkok ; Singapore ;Hong-Kong ; Shanghai; Istanbul, Ibiza, NYC, Miami, Skoppje, Gent, Geneve…
Dj F.E.X's music during his sets sounds close to his productions, a stylish mix of break, electro, house & tech sounds but stricly ”underground”.
Today, he hosts a weekly show “Promo Only” on www.radio9.fr (saturday 11pm/Midnight), where he plays his finest selection of new releases and promos .
But the best way to get an idea of Dj F.E.X's art, is still to come and hear him play in a club.
